What is BCFW? 

Boston Caribbean Fashion Week (BCFW) is a vibrant and inclusive celebration of fashion, culture, and creativity in the heart of Boston. Founded with the goal of showcasing the unique contributions of Caribbean descendants and local designers, BCFW has become a platform that highlights the beauty of Caribbean fashion while welcoming designers of all nationalities and backgrounds. Though rooted in Caribbean heritage, the event is a melting pot of styles, offering designers from Boston and the New England area a chance to shine on a larger stage.

Mission:

Our mission is to provide a platform for designers, models, and creatives—whether emerging or established—to connect with industry professionals and showcase their talents. We work with a diverse range of designers from Boston and the New England area, many of whom share Caribbean heritage or a passion for Caribbean-inspired fashion. BCFW fosters opportunities for designers at all levels to gain exposure, make valuable connections, and contribute to Boston’s diverse fashion scene.

At the core of BCFW are the four pillars that guide everything we do: Beauty, Culture, Fashion, and Style. These values are reflected in every aspect of our events, from the runway shows to the networking sessions and beyond.

• Beauty:  We believe in showcasing the unique beauty of diverse cultures through  fashion, celebrating both the inner and outer beauty that fashion can express.
• Culture:  BCFW is deeply connected to the vibrant and rich culture of the Caribbean, while also embracing the cultural diversity of the global community. Our event is a celebration of the cultures that influence fashion and design.
• Fashion:  We aim to elevate fashion in Boston by giving designers—whether emerging  or established—a platform to express their creativity and push the boundaries of style, with a focus on fostering a connection between tradition and innovation.
• Style:    Personal style is at the heart of what we do—helping individuals and  designers create their own signature looks that reflect their stories and heritage.
