VStyle Productions is an entertainment production company that produces the local television fashion show Style It Up and Boston Caribbean Fashion Week. In addition, we produced numerous local fashion projects from film to live events in the New England area.
Meet the Founder
Althea Blackford is the founder of Boston Caribbean Fashion Week. She has worked with many designers over her two decade fashion career. She has a Caribbean background with her parents from Barbados and Jamaica. Althea wanted to create an event that celebrates her Caribbean heritage and culture while providing a platform for designers to showcase their collection and connect with other fashion professionals. She created this event in August 2013.

Boston Caribbean Fashion Week celebrates Caribbean culture through fashion, showcasing diverse talents and fostering community connections. It is a multi-day diverse series of festive fashion events founded and produced by Althea Blackford. BCFW focus is about Beauty, Culture, Fashion and Style. Our mission is to inspire, empower, and elevate designers, models and fashion creatives by providing a platform for creativity, culture, and collaboration.
